The

Social Network

of

This network contains all the books published or sold by Humphrey Moseley throughout his career, from 1627 to his death in 1661. Each book is a node linked to all the people involved directly or indirectly in its making. These include:

When the network is centered on a book, the first ring shows all the people who contributed to its making, and the second ring shows all the books in Moseley's network to which they also contributed. When the network is centered on a person, the first ring shows all the books to which that person contributed, and the second ring shows all the people involved in those books.

Humphrey Moseley is the implied publisher or seller of every book. When he appears in the network, it is as the author of a letter or advertisement to the reader.

The data used to build this network was collected by Zoe Braccia in Summer 2018 with the support of the Penn Undergraduate Mentoring Program. Download the full dataset at this project's GitHub repository.
