Useful Knowledge is a book of short stories and poems written by famed novelist Gertrude Stein. It was published in 1929, making the book one of Stein's first 10 published works of her career which consisted of over 40 such volumes. In an advertisement for the book, Stein described Useful Knowledge as being "pleasant and therefore it is very much to be enjoyed."
